2026-2027 PTA Board Nomination Interest Information

The RJWE Nominating Committee is conducting a search to find parents who would like a leadership role on our Wolman Elementary PTA Executive Board for the 2026-2027 school year and make a difference! Serving on the PTA Board is a meaningful way to support our students, staff, and school community. There are a variety of positions available, and we encourage you to consider nominating yourself or someone you know who would be a great fit. 

How to Submit a Nomination

  • Nomination deadline: Friday, February 13, 2026

  • Nominees must have agreed to serve if elected.

  • Nominees must be current Wolman PTA members in good standing by Friday, February 27, 2026.

  • You may submit multiple position nominations.

The Nominating Committee Chair will present the slate of nominees at the General Membership Meeting on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at which time additional nominations may be made from the floor.

Please note: Submitting a nomination does not guarantee election to a position. All nominations are confidential and will be carefully considered by the committee.

The Wolman Elementary PTA Nominating Committee


NOTE: The Nominating Committee is only responsible for filling the officer positions listed. A nomination does not guarantee the position as an officer. Each candidate will be carefully considered for the office he/she is being nominated.

OFFICER DESCRIPTIONS and DUTIES:
Each term is for one year; however, a person may serve two (2) consecutive terms in the same position. Officer is responsible for descriptions below as well as other duties assigned by the President. Executive Board meetings are held once a month with other duties performed as needed. All officers are required to complete the Texas PTA Leadership Orientation and their Executive position training.


President

  • Presides over all PTA meetings

  • Coordinates the work of officers and committees

  • Serves as a member of all committees except Nominating and Financial Reconciliation

  • Authorized signer on bank accounts and contracts

  • Attends monthly local, council, VIPs, and Presidents’ meetings

  • Expected to attend Summer Leadership Seminars, Texas PTA Launch, and Texas PTA Convention

1st Vice President – Programs

  • Oversees PTA-sponsored programs

  • Assists the President and presides in their absence

  • Assumes presidential duties if the position becomes vacant until a replacement is elected

  • Authorized signer on bank accounts

2nd Vice President – Membership

  • Leads the PTA Membership Drive 

  • Supports the membership growth and engagement

  • In charge of creating Student Directory

  • Presides over meetings in the President's absence (in designated order)

3rd Vice President – Fundraising

  • Oversees all PTA fundraising events

  • Coordinates fundraising efforts and initiatives

  • Presides over meetings in the President’s absence (in designated order)

4th Vice President – Volunteers

  • Coordinates volunteers for all PTA events

  • Manages volunteer sign-ups and communication

  • Presides over meetings in the President’s absence (in designated order)

Treasurer

  • Manages all PTA funds and financial records

  • Chairs the Budget Committee

  • Authorized signer on bank accounts

  • Presents written and verbal financial reports at meetings

Secretary

  • Records and maintains minutes of all PTA and Executive Board meetings

  • Maintains official PTA records

  • Chairs the Bylaws Committee


Non-Elected Board Positions

Parliamentarian

  • Ensures compliance with PTA bylaws and standing rules

  • Supports and coordinates committee procedures

Council Delegates (2)

  • Attend Katy ISD Council PTA meetings

  • Report relevant information back to the Executive Board
